Hospice of North Idaho: Your Community Hospice | A Non-Profit Medicare Certified Hospice

Your Community Hospice

The Joint Commission Gold Seal

Hospice of North Idaho, your non-profit hospice, helps people live as fully as possible when faced with serious illness or experiencing the loss of a loved one.  With over 30 years experience providing hospice care to our community, we are your resource for serious illness, end-of-life care, and grief and loss.

Have you had THE conversation?

60% of people say making sure their family is not burdened by tough decisions is "extremely important".

56% of people have not communicated their end-of-life wishes.

Will you accept the challenge to give the gift of your wishes for end-of-life care to your loved ones? Join us Monday, June 3rd from 2-3pm and our panel of experts on estate planning for the heart. This event is free and open to the public at the Coeur d' Alene Library. There are a million reasons to avoid having the conversation. But it is critically important and you can do it.

Camp Kaniksu-July 12th-14th

Hospice of North Idaho is currently accepting applications for a very special overnight camp for grieving children. This camp is free of charge and open to any child or teen ages 7-15 who has experienced the death of a loved one. The camp will be held the weekend of July 12-14 at Camp Lutherhaven on the shores of Lake Coeur d’Alene. This three-day camp experience is provided under the professional direction and supervision of bereavement counselors and trained volunteers from Hospice of North Idaho. Both structured and non-structured activities are designed to help youth recognize they are not alone in their grief and that having fun is also part of the healing process. Traditional camp experiences combined with therapeutic activities help bereaved children explore their grief in a safe and supportive environment.
